Defrag not completing

    Defrag gets to 7% but no further.Always run ok before this.

    Have you tried running it in safe mode?
    Any chance there are background apps interfering with it? Do a ctrl/alt/del and end task on everything but explorer and systray...then run your defrag.

    First choice would be safe mode though.

    Thanks for the replies - yes I did close all running programs but didnt realise Sygate was still op so when I CLOSED IT DEFRAG COMPLETED.
