After 6 hours of trying to fix my sons computer after i tryed installing norton 2004 onto it, I just want to say how much I loathe windows ME. This is not the first problem Ive had with this OS just one of many,anyways.. Not only is it the worst OS ive ever worked on but it is so UN forgiving! Yes I was installing norton everything was fine and i restarted to complete install, then boom windows cannot upgrade the file 1% to 2 % error and nothing and I do mean NOTHING will load. So I called support at gateway they had me do all kinds of useless things that only made things worse including resinstalling missing windows files from the recovery disk which halfway through gave me error saying somefile was missing so i turned off pc because i couldnt do anything else and so i restarted and i now have a desktop back now but get 2 error one says winspooldrv.dll cannot be found and powerprof.dll cant be found. My internet wont work and my cd drive is nt working right it gives me winspolldrv error. I could scream! I am usually pretty self proficent with computers but at this point I just give up. Norton 2004 works fine on my xp and 2003 worked fine on the ME OS but who knew the 2004 would cause me so much pain and havoc. LOL Oh well I had to get that off my chest. :D   :D
LMAO Btw hello to all I am new to this forum which I have been visiting for a while but just now registered. Hey Im the silent type...usually...LOL
