If I have my Mozilla bookmarks open and run my mouse over each saved link, how can I get the pop up box that shows what the link is to stay up on the screen for more than the current half a second it does now? It used to stay up for a few seconds so one could at least read what it said but all of a sudden now it is way too fast.

    Thanks, all!

    Hi Kenny,

I haven't a clue here, as I have never had a popup with a mouseover on Bookmarks. Is this with a third party program, or perhaps an extension?

    Hi Ramona,

No, this is all with Mozilla 1.7rc2. If I open my bookmarks up and then hold my mouse pointer over a link within, a little popup box shows up and shows me the complete url.

Oh well, it's not a major problem. I can live without it!

    Thanks anyway! :D

    Kenny,

I've asked a few others using 1.7 RC 2 if they get your results with holding the mouse over a Bookmark, and none do? I think this surely must be associated with something else, as I have never had that result with any Mozilla, or Netscape, for that matter.

    Kenny,

I may be wrong, and would like to know if this happens when you click on "Bookmarks ", or when you click on "Manage Bookmarks "?

    Hi Kenny,

Your problem has been a learning experience for me. I didn't have the mouseover capability for the Bookmark Manager. I did, however find a hack for it in Bug 23460. Now I know what the hey you're talking about. Sheesh!

If it's any comfort to you, my little window only stays for a few seconds, at least 5 seconds, so I suppose that is the default? Not sure since I have just found the feature. I believe you would have to hack the comm.jar file in the Programs chrome directory to adjust this time.

    Ramona,

Your 5 seconds is still better than my 1! Trade ya? :D

Ramona, ok, I was using the Orbit 3+1 theme when the mouseovers in the bookmark file were only staying up for like a half a second, I switched to this "Playgroud" theme and now it's back to normal. :)

The "Playground" theme is one of Aaron Spuler's and is based on "Classic" with just the icons switched. His themes are very well behaved! I've never had any trouble or conflicts with them.
