How can I automate obtaining a list of "Running Tasks"?

I know that I can enter Start-Run-MSinfo32-Software Environment-Running Tasks-File-Export in order to get a list of the running tasks into a text file. But can I automate that process so that I can just press a Shortcut, and/or run a batch file, or something like that so that I can quickly get a list of the running tasks into a text file without having to type everything in every time?

I figured it out after Googling for a while. This batch file line will do it:

"c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\msinfo\Msinfo32" /report xmsinfo.txt

thanks to anybody who thought about it.

 

Thats a net trick
But like you I wanted it to expand a branch and report what I wanted not the whole thing.(system summary)

start run
MSINFO32 /?

Like they can do with win 2000

I can only get the entire file all at once. Even though there is a /? switch which suggests that categories can be selected, it doesn't seem to work. No matter what category I select, the entire file is generated. I too would like to know how to select only the "Running Tasks" category.
