    Hi all

When I click on my profile for Netscape7.1 I get the following message "Netscape cannot use profile "xxx.xxx61" because the directory containing the profile cannot be found" I have had a lot of problems but when using Windows Explorer I do find a lot of archive files relating to this profile including old 4.77 mail settings.

I tried to reinstate the profile last month but may have accidentally deleted my prefs file but something with that name still shows.

Does anyone have any clues about what I might be able to do to recover this archive profile? :)

    Cheers

    Hi CockneyCelt,

    Try this:
    Close Netscape and Quick Launch
    Open the Profile Manager
    Highlight the current Profile (xxx.xxx61)
    Click on: "Delete Profile "
The next dialog window will give you two choices:
"Don't Delete Files" and "Delete Files"
    Click on: Don't Delete Files

Next: Click on "Create Profile "
    Enter xxx.xxx61
Now see if you can open Netscape

If not, then you should create a new Profile. I have a guideline here:
    Create a New Profile
