    Try fixing in BIOS.

Suggest you try to enter BIOS setup (usually hit DEL while booting, but check manual) and if successful, find monitor settings (usually under power settings) and turn off sleep/hibernation. Otherwise open case, with computer unplugged from mains, and clear CMOS (see manual).

Is this the same mobo that wouldn't boot previously? How do you know it's on standby?

I would try different monitor on your machine and see what happens.

Make sure your monitor's plugged securely into the vid card and there are no bent pins.

If no dice there, open up your machine and make sure your video card's fan is free of dust. It could be overheating.

For some strange unsuspecting reason there may be more to this story than you are letting on - after reading Sparrow's comments, I did a quick search of your previuos posts.
That was two weeks ago but you never posted back to advise what happened. This appears to be somewhat common in your threads. Also notice you had trouble with a "deleted" program and later, with your USB ports. Again - no final disposition posted. So, where does that leave us?

A halfassed description will probably get you a halfassed solution - care to elaborate or should one just ASSume you have accurately diagnosed what ails you. Me thinks there's much more to this story than you are letting on.

    dale,

I already tested the monitor and it works fine, no bend pins what so ever.
    shadowhawk,

I'm gonna open the case and check the video card later. I get back at this one later.

OK, my apologies. Would concur with Sparrow and also suggest you pull video card and memory, clean contacts with an eraser and reseat. After clearing CMOS, use "setup" setting in Bios for first boot.

the problem is fixed, the only weird thing about it is that I don't know what is was. during transportation for diagnosting purposes something must have fell in to place cause when I plugged it in, everything seem to work fine again.

I don't know what it was but the most important thing is that it's been fixed. :D

thanx for all the advice guys and sorry for the late update, if the same problem occurs I'll try your suggestions.
    :)
