Ok...can someone give me the advantages and disadvantages to above? I know nothing about Mozilla, but could not help but notice a couple of comments from forum that implied Mozilla was a better browser.

    Thanks....

The biggest advantage,IMO, is that it doesn't get attacked the way IE does by spyware/adware/malware. Probably because it isn't an MS product. :)

Not 'better'. Just different. And as Dave noted, not attacked as often although I suspect that is mostly because there aren't so many users and IE is just a more target-rich enviornment for script kiddies to go after.

Post the question to the Netscape/Mozilla (Netscape uses the Mozilla engine) and you will get honest answers from folks who know both.

Opera is another browser option that some folks really like. I used it at one time and loved it. Switched to only using IE since I have to support it but otherwise would still probably be an Opera user.

I will second Newt's opinion of the Opera Browser. I still use it from time to time. Biggest reason for more than one browser, IMO, is if one stops functioning. And it does happen. :(

I think you need IE to update Windows.

I clicked on the last line and nothing happened. I was using IE6 though.
Using Netscape same thing. I get an hour glass for a second then nothing.

Oh, the links aren't live. That's just a screenshot. The point was that you can download the updates from the Microsoft Download Center if using other than IE. With IE, WU will scan to see which updates you need. I think you would need to know which ones you need/want with other browsers. :)

I don't use netscape, so I don't know, but is there an address bar rather than a search window? That's the results you got, ie; a search results page for that address.

If I type Windows Update in the google search which is on my Netscape browser I am taken to a page where I can select from several ways to get to Windows Update. I selected one which was in Japenese. I selected another and it said Obtaining Windows Updates For Your Powerspec Computer and it had a link to http://www.microsoft.com\downloads. You would have to know what you wanted there.
