printing a message in OE

    I am using WinMe and have IE6 and OE6 and have HP Laserjet 4L
    I open a message and then try to print the messsage and "nothing happens ".
    I can hi-lite the message, copy it, paste in a blank Word document and then I can print the message.
    Is there some setting in OE that needs changing?
    Help will be gratefully appreciated.

    I forgot .......that about two weeks ago, using Norton System Works 2004, the Ghost component of the Works, before it finished, my computer crashed!!!
    I finally was able to use System Restore and got the machine working again with an earlier date.
    What do U think happened due to the Ghost crash and getting the computer to work??
