Very Serious Problem

Every so often ajdnjhfonmco.exe pops up saying it made an illegal operation. and every other time it says cadfdsffsdflkjl.exe made an illegal operation. i put it into a search and i found this forum with the member TICK haveing the same problem http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=30302.

He said it was this virus a trojan, http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp...characteristics, but im not to sure because it doesnt show the name ajdnjhfonmco.exe any where on the cite. can any1 please help

Why not run a free online virus scan at Housecall to see if it catches it?

ok i did the search then i deleted those files.

i had

worm_mydoom.a three times in seperate folders
troj_swizzor.ag
troj_isbar.a

i found them all on my computer so i deleted them and their folders

Go ahead and run another scan..... and see if you come up clean.

then you might want to download, update, and run adaware. Put a check mark beside everything it finds....and let it get rid of them for you.

 

I have those programs

I have that program adware 6.0 and i also ran spybot search and destroy and ran them both and deleted what came up but it never showed the stuff the that one online scan showed. but ya thanks for the help.

 

That's because Housecall is used for Viruses
And Spybot and Adaware are used for spyware.

Two different things.

Do you have a full time virus scanner?

If not...coniser downloading and intalling AVG 6 (bottom of the page) It's free.
Make sure to change the default settings to check for updates, from every 14 days to every 1 day.

 

I have nortan anti-virus

I have nortan anti-virus but it keeps saying it is over due so i just click on later. it still detects bad scripts though and will do virus scans but ive never found a virus with it yet

If so.... by all means.. uninstall and go with AVG.

Once you get it installed.........
Double click on the (red, yellow, green and black) icon down by the clock.
Go to the Update manager tab...at the top
Change the "14 ".....to "1" where it says "Update if database is older than: "
Click apply.

See that "Update now" button? Click it.
If possible.... go there, to update your antivirus manually, every day.

 

One problem

One problem i signed u igot sent a link in my mail where to download but it wont download. it looks like is gonna but it keeps saying saving with the paper going by. it hasnt made a green bar in 10 minutes, is there a problem or is it jus taking forever

 

Try it from here.

 

Be sure to uninstall any other anti virus program before installing a new one
and reboot between steps.

Also it would be best to continue with the hijackthis thread untill finished before make these changes,

i used

i used house call again because i didnt have tome 2 finish the scan but i found 5 more virus's. i deleted 3 but the other 2 i cant delete

the scan result says CanNotAccess. i also tried to delete it biy going to the folder and then deleting it but it says make sure the disk is not full or rewrite protected.

does any1 have any idea how to get rid of them

ok i found out i cant download files on this computer because it just sits there. i downloaded the mydoom.a file on my other computer and it did it in one second. so i dont have that one any more i just need to get rid of the iyus virus now. i got 2 go so ttyl
