Broken browser...

    I just upgraded Netscape to version 6.2 & I get this error message whenever I try to use the browser:

    ALERT! The connection was refused when attempting to contact home.netscape.com.

    The browser doesn't work at all - no matter what. I get that message before I even get to run the program. Any URL I enter into
    the browser returns the same error message (substituting that address instead of Netscape's home page address.)
    Uninstalling and reinstalling it didn't help. Getting a fresh new download didn't help either. I even tried using different browsers to download it, tried contacting Netscape but they didn't actually address the problem. I also tried replacing Zone Alarm with another similiar anti-hacker app after someone suggested that ZA could be the culprit.
    Any sugestions?
    [I'm running WinME & use MSN Explorer to connect to the net.]

    Hi Todd,

    Windows ME users tend to have this problem more than others. Try creating a new Users Profile and see if it helps.

    Ramona, thanks! It works perfectly! I'm new to the BBS but you must be the Netscape expert that they claim you are.
