Ever since I upgraded to WMP 9, it won't play mpg/mpeg/avi's correctly. I'll play them and everything is going fine, then all of a sudden the picture disappears (goes black). The sound still plays, but it won't show the video. It happens on all mpg/mpeg/avi's. WMV files play fine. It's not the videos, because I've tried them on other players and they work. It's only those extensions and it's only since WMP 9 was installed. Any idea what's going on? Can I fix it?

    Thanks!

Sometimes those mpg, mpeg, and avi files have some shaky coding especially if you're getting them from who knows where. Sometimes they play better on one player than another!

It's not the mpg, mpeg, and avi files. It's WMP 9, becuase those videos played fine in WMP 8 and they play fine now in other players. Plus, it's not just some mpg, mpeg, and avi files that won't play.... it's all of them. Every mpg, mpeg, and avi, no matter what, won't play. So there is something up with WMP 9. Any thoughts?
