I've always been curious as to how members originally find the WindowsBBS Netscape and Mozilla Forum. I am also interested in whether or not the link to this Forum, on the Netscape Solutions page, is helpful in bringing in new members. Would you share how you discovered WindowsBBS Netscape and Mozilla Forums?

    Thanks!

I found this website only in search while looking for a cure to remove Wtoolsa. It had a link to go to and I took the plunge. And you know what, I have found me a new miracle website. Thanks to whomever put it together.

    I can't vote...

I often look into tech forums, whenever time allows; I came across w/ this board when I was playing with imaginary prob, in Google's, or might have been Dogpile's, Search window. I did not register then; However, just recently, I had days with Netscape connection "trouble" I couldn't solve myself.

That's when I decided to ask for help right here; I am impressed by most of the parts I saw inside this board; I thank you.

I originally followed a member of another, now defunct, BBS over here. Found that a member named Dreambird had the Netscape answers that I, and many other members, was looking for. Somewhere along the line Ramona picked up the Netscape ball and carried it to a whole other level. Can't remember exactly when that was (memory thing) but I would like to offer a heart-felt "Thank You" to Ramona for her intelligent and insightful solutions to anything Netscape/Mozilla.

When I started playing with Phoenix 0.5 (2002) (before FireBird & FireFox) and Mozilla 1.2 (2003)...it was nice to see this forum in the list of WindowsBBS forums. Luckily I have never had to post a question. The programs have been working great.

There once was a board called NoWonder.Com that has since been sold. Alot of the members would bounce back and forth between the two boards. At the time this board was Windows-Help.Net. I think my first post had to do with linking to a .gif of a puppy wagging his tail. With a little (lot) of help (even Arie) I finally was successful. I know it doesn't sound like much of an accomplishment but I was proud of myself for having done it. woot woot!

Someone asked Arie if we could have a Netscape forum and we got it. The moderator at the time was Dreambird. She was a big Netscape fan and a great person to tackle the job. Imagine a Netscape forum on a Windows board, thanks again Arie. Dreambird has stepped down and Ramona has taken over. I don't think a better person could be doing the job. Thank you Ramona for volunteering your time and energy, it has to be a huge task.

I think the results of your poll will be somewhat skewed, Ramona, as you don't offer the opportunity to vote for (what I think must be) the most obvious reason why people find the forum ... they find it because they're browsing through the WindowsBBS.

I've been a member of the BBS nearly two years, but spend most of my time in the XP forum. One day, only a month or so ago, I started looking around the BBS, and was surprised to discover that there are 15 forums, not counting those for Test Posts, Contributing Members, and Arie's Tweaking Toolbox Beta.

'Twas nice to find the Netscape/Mozilla forum, and to find some fellow Firefox users, as well. Keep up the good work, Ramona.

I found the forum by doing a Google search for some Netscape problem a couple of years ago. I noticed that the name Ramona came up pretty regularly and I think I found your Cherokee board first. The next time I needed something I searched on "Netscape" and "Ramona" and found the board itself. And I can't tell you the number of people I've referred here since then for answers to their questions!

Was looking for help with Netscape 4.x at the time, on another forum someone
had a netscape link to this board. Most informative board I've ever found. Come here to browse once or twice a week (time constraint on my part). Found answers to problems I was having from many posts here. Wish I could offer help to posters but don't have the incredible knowledge as the regulars here.

I check out most of the forums on BBS and wandered in here as I am always looking for information on alternative browser. I like to read the pros and cons before I decide ;)

Don't remember. I go back some four years -- I think. Long-time Netscape user since first version.

Boy, this age thing, really does a number on your memory -- or is it RAM?

Helped to solve the Dwnld MGR prob

    Hey,
Thank you so very much for helping solve my download manager problem. That was how I was guided to this site (although I may have cruised it in the past). I found one of the att.net pages after a search from Google. The page had a download link for a registry fix. I could not download that of course (except maybe by IE come to think of it). But it referred me to the BBS and as they say "Bob's your uncle!" you helped me fix the original frustrating problem. And I saved using Netscape's "low cost" 1-800 solution. Back in business thanks to you. Many thanks again.

Thanks to all who replied to the Poll, and thanks to those of you who responded with such kind words. It is rewarding indeed to know that I have been able to do a forward payback for all the help I received on this BBS when first starting out on the Internet...

oops, I am too late to vote now.
I discovered this forum from Netscape Solutions

This is a very nice helpful forum for all us Netscape/Mozilla users! Although it is hosted in an unusual environment - "WindowsBBS ", this forum has provided many useful help to people around the world.

Who said Netscape/Mozilla forum can't exist in a Windows (or Microsoft) environment?
