Win XP and Bad Back Up

    Running Win XP. I noticed in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSBCKUP folder there is one "bad back up ". Would it be ok to simply DELETE this bad one?

    Guess so - if it's bad , it's of no use. Just make sure that it isn't the latest, if it is do another!

    I don't see where in Win XP to FORCE it to create another backup. I know with Win 98SE it was easily done from System Information's Tool Menu.

    If you're talking about the XP backup utility (as opposed to the Restore utility), it can be manually started through Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Backup.

    Miz: I looked for the backup utility as oyu said, but it is not there??
