connection attempt blocked... now web pages are abruptly slower

    the firewall is telling me that atempts to access my computer are being blocked but surfing is now so slow... it wasn't until these messages. File downloads aren't affected it seems- or could this be a new problem with the server? Is there a way to tell? Ive done hijack this and cwshedder virus scans to no avail... My wife needs her freebies!!!
