I'm looking for a SQL Server Sytax Highlighting definition file for use with UltraEdit. If anyone knows where I can find one, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank a million.

SQL (Structured Query Language) is (mostly) a standardized language - so the SQL Wordfile available from the UltraEdit homepage should work perfectly for 99% of the syntax.
Are there any SQL Server specific commands that you use that's not recognized by this?
(I'm assuming that by SQL server you mean Microsoft SQL server - if not which database server are you using?)
If it's just a matter of UltraEdit not recognizing and highlighting your SQL files, you may need to adjust the extensions that UltraEdit associate with the SQL syntax, you do that in the wordfile.

    Laage,
Sorry for the delay in posting back. The problem was at work, and that was where I left it over the weekend.

Thanks for pointing out the word files right in UE's site. I completely missed it before. But found it. Yes, I was referring to standard MS SQL Server. I've got some really nasty (27 page  ) stored procedures that I wanted to print in color. SQL Server colors the code on the screen, but can't print in color. UE can. It's all fairly standard SQL.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

    Thanks,
    :)

    Laage,
Thanks. The wordfile for SQL worked, mostly. I few minor changes (about 15 min.). But sure beats building it from scratch.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :)

NP, just glad I could help.
Thanks for posting back, it's always nice to get feedback :)

BTW, if the minor changes you mentioned are MS-SQL specific, they have two wordfiles geared exactly for Microsoft SQL (MSSQL 7 - 10/26/98 and MSSQL 2000 - 08-02-2002).
I've had very limited contact with/need for SQL, so I don't know how great the difference is between the "basic" SQL and the different server specific dialects.
