    Hi

My mom's computer was working fine until yesterday- she uses Norton anti-virus protection and she gets the updates- but when she turned on the computer ( after my sister used it ) the CD holder pops out, then goes back in- then pops out and it shakes and pops back in again, it continues to do this.
Do you think this is a virus ? worm ? any one know how to get rid of it ?
    thanks for your time !
    :)

    :D

Seriously this does not sound like your sister's doing or a virus - more likely a confused Windows.

Suggest you uninstall the drive in Device Manager and reboot to let Windows find it again. See if that solves the problem. If not may be a hardware problem and the drive is failing - hopefully not :)

It would not harm to run Spybot and Ad-aware - update the reference files first - links in my sig if you do not have these apps.

    Thank you for the information..

I'm not blaming my sister :p just that my mom mentioned it happened after she used it, think she thought maybe she went to some site and it happened from that..
I will give it a try what you suggested, thanks so much for your help ! :)
