First off, let us get a couple of things out of the way

· XP is a Virtual Memory Operating system

· There is nothing you can do to prevent virtual memory in the NT kernel

 

I've searched for information on the pagefile and found pieces here and there. This article presents it all in one place ...... ...... great find!

In the beginning I said ... stupid XP - the more RAM it gets, the larger the pagefile it requires ... but now I give it what it wants.

That's however, thanks to Norton Ghost which excludes "one session files" from the Images. I mean, who wants to burn two CDs of worthless pagefile to an Image?
