I am thinking about upgrading my system with a new video card. I have:

Intel 865GBF with built in graphics + sound
    512MB PC3200 DDR
    Pentium 4 2.4Ghz 800FSB
    Windows XP Pro

What would be the best suggestion for under $100? I want one with 128MB Ram, IMO 64MB is too little, and 256MB would probably be overkill for me.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Also, I have seen the "same" video card from different manufacturers  . Is there any real difference that I should know about, or are they all the same except for product name branding?

At 128 Mb I guess you're a gamer? 32 MB is fine for us ordinary mortals !! :D
Are you referring to ATI chipped cards? - ATI used to make cards, but now appear to make the chip only which other manufacturers incorporate into their cards.

I've no idea of prices Stateside - thankfully as they are so much less than over here :), but I would be looking at a 128Mb ATI chipped card from a 'known' manufacturer.

I've seen several Radeon 9200se and GeForce FX5200 from various manufacturers. There have been a couple of other offerings in my price range, but these 2 are the most prevalent.
