    Hi
I wonder if anybody knows a freeware alternative to paint shop pro it's must haves are a thumbnail folder viewer and a selective screen capture.

Also on a slightly different subject why are the posters names so big and bold now in this bbs it is really in your face i think a smaller font would be nicer.

    many thanks for any help.

Irfanview is free and has a thumbnail viewer. http://www.irfanview.com/ As for capture it can capture from your whole screen, a foreground window, or a foreground window - client area (window without caption, menu and status bar).

yeh good choice, and it was nice to see that Irfanview got a top pick as photoediting freeware by Consumer R*.

Irfanview is a great great program with all the goodies that comes with it.

I also use a "FREE" program similar to Paint Shop Pro called PhotoPlus 5.5. It also works quite well. Found this program a couple days ago and have been using it without a problem.

I have used PhotoPlus too, along with some other programs that Serif makes.

    The GIMP

InfraView is very good - especially for batch processing.

However, if you want to edit pictures "The GIMP" has to be considered (www.gimp.org). Version 2 has just been released.
