I downloaded NS7.1 a week ago and now can't access certain features on a web site that I visit. I used to be able to with NS4.72 and can with IE from work. Is there something else I need to d/l?

You sure don't give many details! I have not seen a javascript error in NS7.1, sin ce it came out, but certain website are coded in a way that they work in IE, and not in Netscape. But, you should give the website, and does not work, if anyone can test it.

Sorry- I am using the Aetna site (www.aetna.com). When I log in there is a menu on the left of the page that has small arrows(?) that will expand when the mouse cursor sits on them. Since d/ling 7.1, I can't see the expanded menus.I'm using Win98se as an OS. Let me know what other info you would like.
The message at the bottom of the screen on the left says something like "javascript(tools)none" and I think there is one that says "javascript(utils)none ". I'm doing this from memory as I'm not on my home p.c. Hope that helps.

    fp2nc,

When you get home, check your Preferences to ensure that you have both Java and JavaScript enabled.

    Edit | Preferences | Advanced
    Enable Java

    Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Scripts & Plugins
    Enable JavaScript for Navigator

Since we can't Login on the site, there is no way to check the arrows you reference. I did note that the mouseovers on the Home Page work perfectly here.

Have you installed a SunJava Plugin, or are you using the Java that came with Netscape 7.1?

    Ramona :)

I'm on my home p.c. now and have checked that java and the scripting has a check mark in their boxes. Is there something else I can try? I tried the web page again and saw that what it says in the lower left corner is javascript:util0n('phi') if that helps.
