Not sure how to present this problem.

I have a usb modem (alcatel) that I use. Service provider is bellsouth.net.
Just upgraded to 3.0Mbps down/384Kbps up. Want to configure it to be as efficient as possible. When I run tests from http://www.dslreports.com/tools
It uses my sis 900 fast eternet adapter.

How can I correct this ?

Are there other ? for me to answer?

Not a tough question at all - if you are using one of those Alcatel USB DSL "saucer" modems then you aren't using your SIS ethernet adapter. I'd call that pretty simple.

My next questions would be. Why does it think i'm using my sisi 900 adapter?

Even bellsouths help center doesn't give me info on my modem. Is there a way to correct this issue or is it even an issue? Of course I was joking with my second post and would gladly accept any input.

Little higher degree of difficulty
Could probably be answered better in networking forum but as you are aware, DSL Reports Speed tests require a java enabled browser, so I'd check for java updates with regard to potential errors (wrong device read). You may also have a network bridge configured in your own machine settings even though you really aren't using a bridge. Beyond that, I wouldn't have a clue unless their client is buggy.
    ;)

Hope I don't get side tracked here. I have been having trouble with java applets. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Not sure how to update.

Loaded their Java web start. Can't figure how to make it work properly or it doesn't correct the problem. Went into my system and enabled java script?
No help. Some applets don't show. That is a screen with no picture and a small red X in it?

Can I disable my sis 900 card or force it not to be recognized?

    EDIT:

Ok, Just talked to bellsouth no help on why I can't get info on my usb modem.
My sis 900 card is disabled. I'm sure i'm using my usb modem. guess i'll leave it at that. Java is another topic that i'll deal with in the other forums after I search for an answer first.
