CD-Rom Stop Working

    I have a old ibm computer with windows 98 and now when I sign on it throws up a message no cd rom attach to this computer and cd player can not start. I tried playing a music cd and puting in the restore dis and it still gives me this message. I was just woundering if anyone might have any ideals what is going on ?

    Chech cable connections

    check the cables that plug in to the back of the cd rom drive

    Your CD rom could have died.
