    Hi,

I can't get the update to apply when users log on.
I'm just testinng with 1 pc at the mo, I have it isolated in it's own OU.

I know the policy is taking effect because items are missing from the start menu and so forth.BUT the update doesn't do anything.

    I've tried :

-Giving the user local admin rights
-Made sure the user has network access to the update.msi file
-checked the update link is in the computer half of the policy rather than the user half

I don't know what else to do, I've never done this before.

    Please help,

    Baba

Yes, thats one of the docs I've been following.

That article says that changes to a GPO are not imposed on target computers immediately but are applied according to the group policy refresh interval.

I take that to mean the next logonor is there a timer setting somewhere.
I'll run throught the whole thing again and see how it goes.

    Thanks
