    I also saw this info on another site and just ordered it. Just wanted to say that the .NET Passport is only required for the optional newsletter. Nothing, besides an address, is needed for the CD.

    Is there anything on this CD that is better or not available straight from the Windows Update site? It would seem to be rather dated.
