I have a wireless router which I use with my Pc and laptop. the laptop works great with the wireless router. i can surf and check emails.

today, i'm trying to share the printer and a folder from the win2000 pro Pc. and trying to have the laptop(win98) see them.
I have shared the devices on the win2000 pc and have named the network 'bill' and gave the pc a name 'pc'.
on the laptop, named the workgroup 'bill' and named the laptop ' laptop'.
    very easy straight forward.
the Pc can see the workgroup but the laptop cant.
the laptop only sees the laptop doesnt see the pc.

    Need help.
    thanks.
    bill

Hopefully this isn't a wireless issue.

Try the following things. None can hurt and I think the combo may help cure your problem.
    - make sure the 2K PC has browser service turned on
    - make sure the 98 network card is set to not allow it to become the browse master
    - log on to the 98 PC with a username and NONBLANK password
    - 2K will either need the Guest Account enabled (disabled by default at install) or better yet, the username/password 98 is using added to the local users
    - make sure both PCs have IP address/subnet mask combinations that allow them to 'see' each other. For this, easiest if you post what they are using.

And as an add-on afterthought to the last item, how are the PCs connected?
