Need help installing external HD

    I have had it, I have been using cdr-w to do backups, now the disks are piling up, I am running out of space. I am planning to get a new pc with win XP equiped with a USB 2.0. I'd prefer installing an external drive for backing up my files. Is it easy to just plug in that external to a USB? Will the pc recognize it?

    Yes,
    It should be that easy. ;)

    The other option is a DVD-RW drive.
