    Clarify please....
Do you literaly mean "Open Windows "=panes or tasks OR are you refering to having to many background tasks running which are loaded on startup?

If statement means opened windows in the literal sence but near as you can tell you have no opened windows or possibly one or two:
Near as I can tell, trying to find some nfo on this message, this may be related to an AOL 9.0 bug. I'm not an Aol member and cannot login for further research. If you are, perhaps you should do so.

    Do you use AOL?

Do you use something called AIM Mobile?

Second most frequent suspect found was adaware or malware related.

Are you shareware/file p2p downloading? Is a downloader such as getright downloading programs in the background?

Sorry...not much information to had on this. It's not a typical windows problem I'm familliar with. What hits I did find on google seek never had any positive fixes or indicated any deffinite culprit.

Let me check our own help-net archives.....back in a few.
