Does anyone know of a way to, or application that is capable of changing IRQ assignments in Windows XP Professional SP1?

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the reply,

I am not having problems with the ACPI (yet) and the standard PC screen at install scared me a bit, as it was no where near as comprehensive on the P4 HT enabled machine as it was on this PIII 1 gig. It said "install as standard PC i486 ", and since the P4 is not a 486 (it is a 586 or 686 isn't it?), I thought it might slow down the sys so I went ahead and installed as ACPI/APIC. I have two PCI cards in there and want to install a third, all of them heavy workers. I did get my Layla 24/96 sound card in its own IRQ by disabling the firewire (which I do not use) in device mangler.

We shall see, if I have to I will install later as standard PC but for now I guess it is OK.

    Thanks,

Someone should write a prog to do IRQ switching I say! ;)
