I am getting this error under System in Event viewer in Win2000 " The Backup Exec 8.x Naming Service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not start due to a logon failure.
    Source: Service Control Manager

I tried looking up the error on microsofts site but did not find anything, any help would be appreciated.
Also, I noticed that I have been getting this error everyday since 3-9-04

    I am on a Win2k sp2 machine on a Novell network 4.83 sp2

    Thanks

It would maybe help to have all the information from the event. If you open it then click on the icon below the up/down arrows you will get a text copy in your clipboard that you can just paste here.

My best guess is the account the service is using to try to start doesn't have adequate permissions to run.

    Description:
The Backup Exec 8.x Naming Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not start due to a logon failure.

What is odd...is that since yesterday I am not getting the error any more.
The only thing I remember doing was ...installing IBM record now CD...the pc kept saying that it could not load properly...so inserted the cd and it finished loading ..and I changed my passwords to the system....I bet the IBM record Now had somethig to do with it?????

If I am wrong let me know...Thanks
