Weird directories to me Seem to be Multiplying on my Win2000Pro and WindowsXP Computers. They are under the c:\WINNT directory. If anyone knows what is causing them or if I can delete them I would appreciate some feedback. They all look very similar to the following:

    $NtUninstallQ313829$

    Thanks!!

When you install a Microsoft "hotfix ", the original files get backed up so if there are any problems, you can uninstall using add/remove programs, so don't delete them. You can get more details about the hotfix(es) by entering the URL:

    mskb Q313829

    or http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q313829
