    What can I do to prevent the "StickyKeys" menu from appearing when I hit shift 5 times?
    I want to delete or remove whatever it takes to make it as if this was never apart of the windows operating system.

    I have turned off all the options, and all of the key combinations. Gone into the control panel and disabled the accessibility wizard.
    I have even gone to some web sites that tell you to...
    Edit sysoc.inf located in "C:\WINNT\inf\"
    ( "C:\WINDOWS\inf\" for windows XP)

    Find the line that reads as follows:

    AccessOpt=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,optional.inf,HIDE,7

    Delete the 'HIDE' so it reads:

    AccessOpt=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,optional.inf,,7

    Open Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> Accessories and Utilities -> Details -> Uncheck Accessibility Wizard -> OK

    And after all that I have not succeeded

    Please for the love of God and everything Holy how do I get rid of this horrible horrible plague Known as "StickyKeys "?

    Try deleting (or renaming) the "sethc.exe" file in the System32 folder. That's what runs when sticky keys are enabled.

    Funny,
    I've never had the occasion to hit the shift key 5 times (ever!). LOL. I just did it on a W2K machine and it chirped at me and up comes StickyKeys. :D

    Don't think it will bother me though. ;)

    Well the thing is when you playing a game that requires you to preform certain tasks repetiedly with the shift key it becomes very annoying.
    Thanks for the tip Miz!

    Here is the problem XP has that auto recover system files so when I rename it or delete it, it comes right back. How can I remove this exe from the list of protected files?

    asdfjkl,

    I turned mine off by:

    ctrlpanel>accessability>keyboard>uncheck stickykeys box and click settings>uncheck all.
