Can the screensaver that comes up at the Welcome logon screen be changed? I've tried logging in as "Administrator" and changing it from that desktop but to no avail. I'm getting sick of the Windows XP screensaver!

Hi Pete... I'm talking about the log in screen you get when you have multiple accounts. If no one logs in the Windows XP screensaver comes on (after a time) by default. Right clicking on that screen brings up no menus. Thanks

Single user here, autologon so I was not aware of that.

This prevents the screen saver from launching at logon screen.

This is how to change it.

More hits on Google - search for logon screensaver

The URL given in the tutorial is www.deskmod.com otherwise try a Google search for log-on executables

Sorry... I wasn't thinking Pete. Too excited about trying the regitry edit to change that screen saver! It works well ... Thanks for your time. At the same place in the regitry is a key called screensaver time out where you can change the time it takes before the screesaver kicks in. I thought 10 min was too long so I changed mine to 5 sec. Thanks again...

    Mike
