In a dual boot environment, (I know, no one dual boots anymore)is there any advantage or disadvantage in installation or performance to installing the OS' on separate partitions of the same drive vs. on different physical drives in the system. Either way, they share the boot information from the C drive. In particular, since the XP partition is used for intensive graphics and NLE, would there be any performance advantage one way or the other. I currently have it set up on different drives, but was wondering........ (I have 3 fixed drives in this system, as well as a removable bay. I cannot use the removable bay for different OS' as it is dedicated for storage purposes)

Not really, as with any dual-boot setup the pagefile can be put on a different HD to the one the O/S is using, which is the only performance gain I can think of. I have one setup with W2000 on C, pagefile on D; W9x on D, pagefile on C.
