Hi~ I'm trying to set up a network connection between my sony lap top and my PC. both have 1394 network connections, but i really have no idea how to set up a network between them. I tried using the network setup wizard, but that didnt work. i also tried firenet, however that also did not work. could someone please tell me how to set this up and allow file sharing between these two computers. Thanks

What operating system(s) are you running? XP is about the only Microsoft OS that has reliable firewire networking support from what I read. ME has it but .....

Also, the max distance between PCs (unless you have repeaters) is around 15 feet for the basic 1394 - longer with 1394b although it slows down over distance.
