I was wondering if anybody can help me with something? I don't know what I did to make Notepad do this. When I click on the Notepad icon to open it. It doesn't open. But, Its in the task bar. I have to right click on it on the taskbar and click maximize to view it. It started doing this about 3 weeks ago and nobody knows why. I use Notepad alot and I would like to fix this if i can. Any advice? Thanks in advance....

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Do I right click on Notepad and go to Properties? Because I tried that and i didn't see where I could change anything. Sorry about that. I am new to XP.

May be the notepad window is opening off screen? If so, try selecting "Cascade Windows" when right-clicking on the task bar to get the Window back.
