    Right click blank space on your desktop

    Select "properties "

    Select "screensaver tab "

    Look for references to your Goldfish screen saver or disable the screensaver option all together.

    NOTE*
    This is win98 how-to, it can't be to much different in XP.

    ======
    If this doesn't do it for you, the options may have to be directly accessed through the program itself. You may have an icon on the desktop that looks like a fish or a folder in your startmenu>programs list...that also has a link to the option settings for this.

    If not see the lower entires at the support site for the thing:
    http://www.lifeglobe.com/product/Goldfish/info/faq.php

    You may have to uninstall this thing all together, particularly if it's a "demo" and not the full registered version. It may be crippled and has a limitation to your options until purchased.

    You should have a "Drop Down Arrow" to the right of the type_on" line that shows the name of the screensaver you are using. If you click on (the arrow), a list of available screensavers will appear. To change to a different screensaver you can select any in the list or to choose "None ", which disables screensaver, I believe it is at the top of the list.

    Disable means you have turned off the screensaver as in not running it. If the Aquarium/Goldfish guy is listed and not started or ran by it's own applet this will kill it (as in not run), until you select or choose to have the or any screensaver run once again.

    Thanks Goddez, just in case you think I'm stupid, I was actually replying to Daizy you must have posted your reply just before I posted mine so I had not seen your reply when I posted mine. Does that make any sense?

    Of course I don't think your stupid! Quite the contrary, I think it is rather smart of you to ask for the clarification of any directions suggested when you are unsure of the final outcome or meaning.

    And your welcome. I hope this turns off the Aquarium Fish thing for you. :D

    Hi back at ya', Daizy,

    Guess we were doing the old "Duel Duo Post Replying ". Looks like you got me :) .

    If you want to get rid of it completely (as opposed to just disabling it) do a search in C:\Windows for *.scr. All of the screensavers will be listed, and you can delete the one(s) you never use or don't want.
