    Windows XP

just under where I click on the log on icon, there is a message saying 11 unread mail messages. But I have no email messages in the email address to which this relates to, not in trash, keep, the in box, nor anywhere else in this address.

How do I disable this feature or otherwise fix it?

    THANKS

    Hi Headmaaw
Do you have a Hotmail account, sometimes this is where they can be, if you have messenger in start up (apears on desktop when you first open windows) it will still have any messages that are unread in there.

hi stitch, I do have a hotmail account. But in that account at this moment I have only 44 kept read messages & 2 sent messages. But the notice where I log on says I have 11 unread messages in my BT internet email account. BT is my isp.

How can I disable this notification ?

    Thanks

Download and install TweakUI, scroll to "Logon" disable email notification.
