Hi pcman - Welcome to the Board :)

Two possible problems - I'm guessing here :D - bad memory or a corruption in OE.

If you have more than one stick of memory try removing one at a time and see if this cures the problem or run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool

Alternatively try a Repair of OE

pcman - please keep all the posts about a problem in the same thread - so reply rather than starting a new one. I merged the other thread into this one.

Now that you are pretty confident that the physical memory is OK, did you try the 2nd part of the suggestion and do a repair of OE?

    From PeteC (post above)
"Alternatively try a Repair of OE "
clicking on the link included will take you to a good how-to article.

IE/OE repair in XP is a bit trickier than in other OS versions.
