One of the first things I do on re-installing or upgrading Mozilla is to slay that monstrous dragon, and install the rather more grown-up navigator wheel icon.

The dragon, of course has many heads and continues to pop up. I can remove him from the Windows task bar, but how do I fix it so an html file displays with my prefered Navigator Wheel?

And is there a way to destroy that serpent utterly, finally and absolutely?

This would be a great and mighty work at the start of the Easter Triduum.

    Labarum,

On the Windows task bar, you can right click the monstrous dragon's head, select Properties, and browse to the navigator wheel icon location, then select that icon.

See: Mozilla Application FAQ which may allow you to be rid of the monstrous dragon forever. Note that the Registry edit is unsupported.

I delete the icon in the taskbar, and drag the one on the desktop to it - that means I get -nosplash as well.

I think the dragon will have to live! I ain't going in there!!!

But can you tell me why such a childish feature is tolerated by a team trying to make people believe they are promoting serious software?

    Mozilla Dragon Icon

I'm guessing Mozilla is a descendant of the famous monster, Godzilla. It's the browser that will dominate the Internet and is instilling tremendous fear in all the other browser developers.

You're really close mailman. The name Mozilla was derived from the very first Netscape MOsaic browser, and GodZILLA.
