Keep losing Bookmarks

Hi - I just joined this forum and am looking forward to learning a lot from here! So here is my puzzling question...I just recently upgraded my Netscape to 7.1 and also installed Mozilla. So far 2x the bookmarks have been deleted and I do not know why. I have searched for a "beginners" instructions to save bookmarks but it is all greek to me
I would appreciate if someone could help me in this as I am clueless as to how to save my bookmarks. Thanks in advance! Lenelan

Hi Lenelan,

When you installed Netscape did you create a new Profile for Netscape 7.1, or are you sharing a Profile with Mozilla? If you are sharing a Profile that could very well be why you are having a problem with your Bookmarks.

If you want to back up your Bookmarks, then make a copy of the entire Profiles folder. See: Profiles Folder Location
Then you will have a copy of all your Profile data. Do this on a frequent basis. The Bookmarks file is bookmarks.html, and located in the salted (*.slt) folder.
