    Right click start>properties>start menu tab>customize>advanced tab for connect to option. Did you apply Winsock fix? Can you post a HijackThis log?

    Get HijackThis from here, run a scan, save the log and paste it here. Don't fix anything with it yet.

    I only see a couple things I would fix;

    O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL

    More info on removing here.

    I see you have Windows Messenger running. Unless you use it, I recommend removing it. More info here.

    I assume you mean the registry keys? If so, try applying the WinsockFix.

    You can always try this.

    If I may suggest a couple of things to try out.

    1. Try using another browser and see if the same problems occur. If no, then the problems are with IE (assuming you're using IE).

    2. If yes, check your HOSTS file which is located in this folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. To check it, open your HOSTS (no extension) file with Notepad. A clean and untouched HOSTS file should look like this:

    did the re-install option but thankyou all for your help as you don't know untill you try all options, not quite sure what started this except maybe it was the kazza and p2p program, but all is working well once again
