I have two OS on separate HD's on my computer right now and would like to transfer my MS office XP messages and address book to Outlook Express. From looking at the file import/export settings they are incompatible? go figure.

    Any ideas?

I'm not sure about the messages, but I believe you can export the address book as "comma separated values" and OE will recognize it.

In Outlook Express, go to File>Import>Messages. One of the programs listed to import from is Outlook. Then just select the message folders you want to import from.

    Thanks,
The comma, separated values worked for the address book,
But trying to import Outlook message files tells me an error has occured, Cannot import from the MAPI client.

I believe you have to create a temp type folder in Outlook. Move all the desired messages there. Then close Outlook and start OE. The rest the wizard should do, except browsing to the message folder.
