I have never seen this before.

I just checked my e-mail with MailWasher Pro. There was only one message that wasn't Spam and worthy of keeping.

When I opened OE the message wasn't at the top of my Inbox list like it should have been. I went back to MWP and it wasn't there, either.

I finally found it in the middle of about 100 accumulated e-mails. I also noticed that everything else in the Inbox was listed in absolutely no recognizable order at all. As far as I know, there are only two ways to have the e-mails listed, in Ascending or Decending order according to the date and time they arrived.

Is there a setting that I may not be aware of that will restore my Inbox to something resembling normalcy? I'm stumped. :(

Any and all help is always greatly appreciated.

They can be arranged in ascending or descending order of from and subject too.

Thanks for the quick reply, Dave.

Where must I go to change them back?

What could have caused this? I haven't changed anything lately that I am aware of.

Update: I just went back to look for a way to change the list back to "normal" and guess what - it seems to have 'fixed' itself !! Grrrr !!

    I'm still left wondering . . . WHY ??

To re-sort them, right click on the header of the column you want it to use for sorting. For example, if you want them sorted by sender, right click on the word "From" at the top of the column and choose either Descending or Ascending. If you want them sorted by when received, right click on "Received" and choose either Ascending or Descending....and so forth.

Or you could just left click on those headers. Clicking again will change the order. As far as what changed them, an inadvertent click when exiting would leave them changed the next time you went in. At least that's how mine have gotten changed in the past. Other than that, I don't know.

    EUREKEE !!

    Dave and Miz,

    Thanks for the help. :)

I vaguely remember sorting and moving the columns around about two years ago - now.

I still don't have a clue as to how I managed the louse it up but maybe I did make an inadvertant click somewhere along the way. All is well and good and as it should be now.

I should probably stay away from this thing when I'm too tired to see what I'm doing with it, huh?

    Thanks, again.

Hey, I took it around the long way with the right-click thing even though I'd used the "just click on it" method. We all have those little moments. :)

Glad to help and thanks for posting back to let us know you got it sorted out.
