    Hi,
Before.. when I right clicked on a picture and clicked on "save picture as" it would save in the format the pic was in, such as jpeg, gif, whatever...

I don't know how or why it changed.. but now when i click on "save picture as ", it always save in BMP file... How do i change this back? Why is this set as save as BMP file?

When I put "picturename.jpeg" to save as jpeg file, the file size is always bigger as if its saving it in bmp format...

    Thanks for your help

Should be Picturename.jpg rather than .jpeg.

Here is what Microsoft says about your particular problem.

Did you load another program on to your computer before you realised your pictures were being saved as .bmp. If you did and it was some kind of picture editing program like coral, paint shop, photo shop, jasc or somthing similar, then this cold be your answer. When you put a program onto your computer it takes priority over ones already there. one way around it would be to uninsal the older program then reinstal it.
Another would be to open up the properties of the program you are using to look at your photo's and try to change the default saving in there.

Which program are you using anyway.
