Hey all. I recently installed OpenOffice and it was running perfectly fine and that was two days ago. The next day the program wouldnt run due to a bad image, and the printer wouldnt print or anything. I go the printer to run eventually after reinstalling drivers. And today I did a windows update and now every so often it complains about a file that AIM uses being a bad image.

Is it me or does this sound like a virus to you all? Or is it something else?

    PS: OpenOffice still isnt running.

Have you checked for virus activity with an up-to-date AV app? At this point, I'd suggest an online scanner. RAV (link in my sig) is a good one.

Have you checked your event logs for clues?

Well I got the problem fixed. I ran a virus scan (yay for Norton =^_^=) found 4 viruses lurking around. Ill keep an eye out for anything else thats going on. But I reinstalled the programs and they are working for now.

    Thanks alot though.
