Loading Personal Settings, Saving Your Settings, Windows Is Shutting Down. I get these 3 screens each time I start or Reboot. Microsoft will not pay me to advertise on my computer. I would like to replace them. I knew how to replace the logo screens on 98SE but not XP. Can anyone tell me how.

Take a look Here. Note - I have not used their app or their instructions so can't swear it works but it sounds reasonable.

Or google for xp+boot+logo and look thru some of the other 152 thousand hits.

    I finally found a way!
If you choose to use the XP Logon Screen, as opposed to the Welcome screen, there are some things you can do to customise the way your XP Logon Screen looks. This tip shows you how to add a Windows XP Logon
Wallpaper option. This could be your favorite image or picture as long as it is a .bmp or .jpg Start, Run, type Regedit.
    1) Navigate to: HKEY USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
    2) Double click the wallpaper value, and type in the full path of your image and the filename. Example: C:\Wallpaper\Mypic
    3) To tile the image set "TileWallPaper" to 1
    4) To Stretch the wallpaper set "WallPaperStyle" to 2
    5) Close the registry editor and the changes will take place when you Log off.
I no longer advertise for Microsoft.
