Cannot standby

    I recently installed winxp home on my wife's HP Pavilion computer. Now when I try to set it for Standby, I get an error message:

    "The device driver for the 'ATI Technologies "3d RAGE IIC AGP' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver "

    I went to the ATI website and could not locate that driver in order to update it.

    you should try the windows update site and have a look under the driver updates section on the left hand side.

    It appears that XP already contains the most up-to-date drivers for that card. Might try uninstalling from device manager and reboot.

    Sorry! The display adapter. Click the driver tab and then uninstall, close and reboot. New Hardware Wizard will start and reinstall drivers.
