    I'm new to WinXP.

Received a code to unlock a program, when I did a message appeared - *You must have system administration privileges for your registration code to be activated by this computer*.

Don't exactly know what that means.

    Hi Trident
Go to start...settings...control panel...user accounts...and make sure you are set up with administrative priviledges.

Created user account and password - should I receive some sort of confirmation? Whatever the reason, it did not unlock the program when I entered the reg. code.

No, the account you are in, should have the administrative permissions.

Try going to add/remove in control panel, and installing your software from there.
