    On occassion an E-Mail will be received that has a red X in place of an image. What could be the problem? Please advise. thanks for your time.

    Usually that is an issue with the sender. If it only happens occasionally. Its their end. Maybe make note if its from one perticular sender.

    Yup. What she said.

    There is a setting that has to be on for embedded (as opposed to attached) pictures in OE email to make the trip from the sender's PC. If they have it off, the email goes but the pic or pics do not.

    The red X is just the way your PC has of telling you that there should be a picture there but it can't find anything.

    Lis--OE Tools|Options|Send tab|HTML Settings|check box "Send pictures with messages "|Apply|OK.
    However your friend may also not be linking to an image on her hard drive. She cannot link to an image on a web site.

    Tools>send tab>HTML Settings Button next to mail sending format>check send pictures.
