Now, we got a new problem.

We are using Windows XP Home Edition and Outlook Express.
    Have Norton Anti Virus running.

We are getting e-mail just fine.

However the composed mail just sits in the outgoing box.
    Can't break it loose.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Any specific error messages ? Any indication that OE is trying to send?

I would check out your account properties ......

Tools > Accounts - highlight account > Properties > Servers and check the outgoing mail server address.

Click tools>options>send and make sure the line that says send messages immediately is checked. If it is; what happens when you click tools>send and receive>send all? Or have you already tried this?

    Ok, thanks again.

My trying to accomplish it got nowhere.
However your responce indicated that the data concerning the service provider may be wrong or missing.

We use DSL - so, we called their support number and the tech person walked me through the fix.
Heavens, don't ask what it was - can't remember.
But they did a great job.

    It works !
That may be a good suggestion - call your service provider for assistance.

    Thanks
